Program

At Basketball in the Barrio, children from  Segundo Barrio and Chamizal neighborhoods participate in El Paso’s annual summer camp where they gain leadership, literary and basketball skills while celebrating border culture.

1. Free Throw / shooting station

4. Layup station

What:

A book reading by Rus Bradburd, author of the compelling book,  “All the Dreams We’ve Dreamed: A Story of Hoops and Handguns on Chicago’s West Side.” 

Accompanying Rus will be the subject of the book, Shawn Harrington.

 

Jim Ward and friends will perform; camp participants will put on a dribbling demonstration.
