The funding will help the youth from El Paso’s Segundo Barrio and Chamizal neighborhoods enjoy the annual summer camp where they learn leadership literary and basketball skills while celebrating border culture.
We need our supporters of Basketball in the Barrio to consider a philanthropic $50 gift ticket ($100 per couple) to attend. Your donation will establish a permanent endowment at the El Paso Community Foundation, the interest from which, will all go to the supplies such as materials for writing and creating their own books,  basketballs, Basketball in the Barrio shirts and Cinco Puntos Press bilingual children’s books.
If you are interested in honoring a family or friend’s name with a separate and larger gift, you can endow a “Forever Fund" at the Community Foundation.

AYB Reunion!
The iconic 1990’s El Paso based band AYB has agreed to help Basketball in the Barrio create a Permanent  Endowment at the El Paso Community Foundation with a “Can Not Miss" event.

How:

Your $100 contribution gets you 2 tickets to the AYB concert at Geogeske and will benefit youth in the Segundo Barrio and Chamizal neighborhoods who will participate in the camp.
